If the signal from the head unit is DC at all, it could kill the amps. Again, most amps have protection from this...but Bose sucks like that. Use a digital multimeter to test if there is a dc voltage across the 2 signal inputs. Even a small voltage could fry the amp. To filter DC current, put a capacitor inline with the amplifier. Be careful, a cap will cut out bass frequencies. You will want a fairly large-valued cap so that you won't lose any audible bass.
